About Memoirs Foundation

The Memoirs Foundation was formed as a not-for-profit organisation to enable ordinary citizens to tell their personal story as the part they have played in the making of our society and in providing a heritage for its future.

The Foundation's objective is to develop and offer affordable means, methods and professional expertise, and to forge useful links with the publishing industry.

In this way we can encourage individual Australians and groups, in all walks of life and from our different cultures, to put their stories on record, as the most precious and lasting legacy to the generations that will follow.

We also aim to provide opportunities for the training and development of professional Personal Historians.

What they've said

"Dad was not writing his book for himself, or even for us. He left it as a legacy for generations to come. The book will be there for our great grandchildren to read, and that is so important."
R. MacLeod, at book launch, Lilley Lodge, Vic
